Today my adoptive country, United Arab Emirates celebrates its 45th birthday. What better day than today to launch my website.
I grew up in a little town called Imphal in the North-East region of India. Little did I know that I would grow up to have lived in Chennai, Delhi and Bengaluru in India and then move to the United Kingdom.
After a blurry one year in Leeds (more on that later), I found myself living in Bristol for a short time and then in London. Following my heart, I made the biggest decision to leave my life in London and move to Dubai. I would never know if life would have been better in London but what I do know is that I am ever so grateful to call Dubai my home.
Building on the vision of H.H Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the much revered current leaders – H.H Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan,The UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi; H.H. As we celebrate the National Day, it just occurred to me that at least 80% of the population are expatriates. For a country with so many expatriates, there is an astounding feeling of patriotism and love for the nation. This country is relentless in its quest to become better – to be the best. I have a feeling that we are in for a real treat.
